Some digital agencies have a bad reputation with developers: chaotic production processes, long hours, tight deadlines and demanding clients.

At Prodo we make things better by ensuring the team have a healthy work-life balance, creating a fun environment where creativity can thrive and investing in good training for staff.  Table tennis brings the whole team closer together and it helps being based in the middle of picturesque Cheshire countryside.  It's also good to use agile development methods where the team can work in a collaborative way with clients.

That's all fine, but how do you take it to the next level?

Lately I've been thinking about the growing trend towards gamification:  Pokemon Go, fitness trackers with daily step goals, supermarket loyalty points rewarding your shopping.  So I was intrigued when I discovered the development tool.

Essentially it gives you a way to gamify every aspect of your development process: metrics such as the number of commits, level of bugs found can be used to reward developers with badges and good performance leads to a 'level up'.

Game on!!!
